VB6 Luddites on the WarpathPosted 8:52 AMFirst of all, I'm an MVP, and there's no way I'm signing this. And apparently there are a few others that feel much the same way that I do. Next, the fact that many of these petition-signing are continuing to use VB6, a product that is close to the end of its natural life, to develop new applications should tell you everything that's needed with regard to their general knowledge about how things work in the computer industry. Let that roll around inside your mouth for a minute, and understand the implications. They are still writing new VB6 applications. Instead of developing migration strategies. For paying clients. That think they're getting their money's worth. There's some talk about starting a counter-petition -- I'd also sign a petition for putting us out of the misery that is VB6. I don't want any time that can be spent on new technology keeping VB6 alive. Everyone with a half-clue has known that this day was coming, and the fact that these fools have misled their clients and companies into believing that MS wouldn't EOL VB6 doesn't change the fact that its life is over. And the clueless whining by some of these "MVPs" is just embarassing.
